The Fire tower at top is great for field day wire antennas. Mt. Utsayantha has some trees, but there are some nice shots west and north-east where you can get out from ground level. From the firetower, you can have LOS in all directions. It's a very tall hill (3200+ I think) and thus not much is blocking you. Sometimes you catch people hang-gliding off of it. I've really enjoyed my time on that hill over the years... wish I still lived out that way.

Magnetic Declination (Variation)
Magnetic Declination, sometimes called Variation (especially in the aircraft world), is the difference between True North and Magnetic North. It is expressed in the number of degrees difference between the two directions and on which side of True North you will find Magnetic North.
